Oil pump materials mainly include aluminum, stainless steel and plastic.
Aluminum material
The outer shell of the oil pump is usually made of aluminum-containing materials, which are lightweight and durable and suitable for manufacturing automotive oil pumps. The application of aluminum makes the oil pump lighter and easier to install and maintain.
Stainless steel material
Some internal parts of the oil pump, such as molded parts, are made of stainless steel, and the most common ones are 304, 316 and 316L stainless steel. These materials have good corrosion resistance and strength, which can ensure that the oil pump maintains stable performance during long-term use.
Plastic material
In recent years, PPS plastic materials have been increasingly used for oil pump housings. PPS plastic has excellent dimensional stability and tolerance control capabilities, and can maintain extremely high dimensional accuracy under extreme temperature changes and mechanical stress. In addition, PPS material has good chemical resistance and high temperature resistance, and can maintain stable performance in harsh working environments, improving the durability and reliability of the oil pump.
